It holds 4.9 on Google from more than 3,000 reviews and makes a good stop with children after the castle.
About the place
The collection belonged to the Hunedoara rally driver Valentin Banciu, a national champion, who gathered model trains for over 40 years, mostly from abroad. After his death in 2018 his former wife kept the collection and opened the museum. You enter through a railway carriage, then see dioramas of towns and mountains with trains running through them.
The newest diorama is almost 7 metres long. His trophies and toy-car collection are also on show. On Google the museum holds 4.9 from 3,197 reviews.
