About the place
The collection belongs to local man Romică Bîrsan, who gathered tens of thousands of objects over more than a decade. The museum moved into a house once used by the Communist Party leadership for guests, with 12 rooms. You see a classroom with desks and school uniforms, military uniforms, a living room with a TV and a glass fish ornament, a small bar and shelves from a shop of the time.
There are also steelworkers' badges, period money, toys, LEGO and around 300 Barbie dolls from the 1990s. The founder says the museum presents a period of history and does not praise the regime.
